ADVANCING SUSTAINABILITY
BUSINESS + DESIGN SYMPOSIUM 2012
October 6, 2012
THE AILING HEART OF THE URBANSCAPE: ITS CAUSES AND CURES
The 2012 Symposium will focus on the “cardiovascular system” of a city—its infrastructure. The discussion will investigate how various infrastructures—providers
of core operational supply (transportation systems, energy and water supply, communications, built environment)—perform, exchange, and are incorporated into
the natural environment. The discussion will address the extent of their influence on lifestyle and the overall dynamics of the city, as well as their management and opportunities for advancement.
We invite active individuals of all disciplinary backgrounds who strive for innovation
and change toward more efficient, cleaner and healthier environment. We invite professionals who promote the balance of outstanding service, innovation, human and environmental well-being. This discussion is a critical discourse about inefficiencies in performance, new design opportunities for local and global infrastructures, and the implementation of best approach. Join us to learn, discuss and invest in work that leads to a healthy future.
