
Philippe Paré is a design director with Gensler’s Workplace practice. In his 13 years of experience, he has built a portfolio of award-winning work, and a reputation among his clients and peers for creating sophisticated, elegant interior environments that inspire interaction and excitement. Philippe’s expertise lies in his ability to lead the design effort from the initial concepts through the completion of construction. Always a strong advocate for the client’s goals and objectives, his ability to balance both great design with project budgets makes him a valuable member of any design team. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from École d’Architecture, Université de Montréal and a Graduate of Arts and Science from the Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. His student work was selected to represent Canada at the Venezia Biennale VIth International Exhibition of Architecture in 1995. This exhibition displayed Canada’s Emerging Territories in Architecture, and is now archived in the permanent
collection of the Canadian Centre for Architecture.
He moved to San Francisco in 1999, where he joined Holt Hinshaw. He has received several awards for his work at Clive Wilkinson Architects in Los Angeles, including three AIA Honor Awards for his contribution to the design of the Pallotta TeamWorks Headquarters. Among his high-profile clients since joining Gensler in 2004 are Yahoo!, Joni and Friends, Hyundai Capital, HyundaiCard, Amgen, Tesla, LBA, Niagara Bottling, City Sports and the Port of Long Beach. Philippe is a recipient of numerous design awards. In 2007, he received a BOY Merit Award from Interior Design, and in 2008, he was recognized with a Caliber Award for his design work on the Joni and Friends International Disability Center. Recently completed projects include a new HQ and Operations Center for Hyundai Capital, both LEED Gold certified. He is currently leading the team in charge of the interior design for Hyundai Motor America’s new 470,000sf North American Headquarters.
